Tutor – Nursing Dosage Calculations & Medication Safety

We are seeking an experienced tutor to support a nursing student in mastering dosage calculations, safe medication administration, and related clinical math skills.

This support would take place in the PINEVILLE, Library.

Responsibilities:

• 
  

  Provide 1:1 tutoring for a student in a nursing program.

  
  


• 
  

  Teach step-by-step approaches to dosage calculations (pediatric and adult), medication conversions, and IV flow rate problems.

  
  


• 
  

  Reinforce key concepts in pharmacology and medication safety, including identifying safe dose ranges.

  
  


• 
  

  Build student confidence in preparation for course exams and NCLEX-RN/PN.

  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  

  Licensed Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN), or advanced nursing student (final semesters).

  
  


• 
  

  Strong knowledge of math conversions, pharmacology basics, and clinical reasoning preferred

  
  


• 
  

  Experience teaching, tutoring, or precepting nursing students preferred.

  
  


• 
  

  Excellent communication skills with the ability to break down complex problems into simple steps.

  
  

Preferred (but not required):

• 
  

  Experience with dosage calculation exam prep or NCLEX tutoring.

  Flexible schedule; sessions would be in-person at Pineville Library
