Pay Rate: Range $2280 to $2500 weekly Gross pay based on a 40-hour work week (Includes non-taxable travel/housing and M&I stipend available for qualified/eligible travelers)
Unit: Acute Inpatient Units
Shifts available: Evenings
Shift timings: 8 Hours; Evenings, PM Shifts, Typically 2 or 3 pm to 10.30 or 11.30 pm
Schedule: 40 hours/week guaranteed, 5 X 8-hr shifts, Monday-Friday, Weekends - TBD, No call
Position Requirements:
- Physical Therapist experience in a hospital setting: 1 year+ - Required
- Acute Inpatient experience – Required
- Adult population experience - Required
Education, License and Certification Requirements:
- PT License for State of IA or Compact - Required
- BLS Certification from AHA - Required
Job Description:
- Performs examination and evaluation to determine diagnosis and prognosis of patient/client and determine appropriate intervention to gain expected outcomes based on patient/client goals including a collaborative approach with patient/family and health care team.
- Utilizes of appropriate Physical Therapy interventions to produce desired outcomes.
- Utilizes of appropriate documentation and billing to communicate progress and status to physicians, other healthcare professionals and third party reimbursement.
- Supervision of Physical Therapist Assistant in accordance to state licensure laws.
- Utilizes critical thinking in making independent judgements and maintains responsibility and accountability for the knowledge of conditions of assigned patients.
- Able to demonstrate the necessary skills and competencies of a physical therapist.
- Keeps work area and equipment clean and orderly by maintaining and practicing hospital and departmental policies and procedures regarding safety and infection control
