Warehouse and Field Worker - Seasonal

Description

The Seasonal Warehouse and Field Worker for TriCal will assist the Team in all phases of a breeding program and operations related to field trials, seed preparation, field plot management, data collection, harvesting, greenhouse operations and trial plots.

Duties and responsibilities

• Assist the Team with the operations necessary to successfully execute the triticale research program including preparation of seed for planting, installation of field plots, preparing seed for greenhouse planting, collecting field data as directed by both the Plant Breeder and Associate Plant Breeder, arranging for off-site cooperator trials, harvesting plots and cleaning seed
• Assist with safety inspections and participate in all scheduled safety
• Assist the Team to successfully maintain quality standards
• May required overnight travel and late evenings

Requirements

• Basic computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft programs
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
• Lift 70 lbs on a regular basis
