Account Management Specialist, Automotive

Position Overview

The commercial/sales team, located in Atlanta, Georgia, is seeking an Account Management Specialist, Automotive. The role is responsible for working directly with external customers to assemble demand, analyze forecasts, and enter forecasts and orders/releases into the system. This position has a significant impact on inventory turns, timely deliveries, cash flow, and other working capital goals of the business unit.

Responsibilities

• Maintain certain levels of inventory (current week + 1)
• Handle aged inventory (3 kt- expired & 2.3 expiring in 30 days)
• Handle the constant shift in customer demand - being able to coordinate with mills and tollers.
• Managing several customer-facing issues based on loading a reduced forecast while maintaining customer credibility.
• Support new product launches, trials, and emergency/bail-out spot buys.
• Coordinating with various plants and external processors to meet customer demand. Balancing high priority/higher volume customers.
• Actively get in touch with customers to identify and lead time violations and work with the supply chain team to confirm feasibility
• Manage and track the flow of material from plant to customer
• Work closely with the customer and cross-functional teams to address and troubleshoot any issues for quick resolution

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 0-2 years customer service experience.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Digital literacy (SAP, MS Office, Spreadsheet, etc.).
• ERP experience
• Proven track record to effectively handle stressful or conflict situations/interactions with internal and external customers
• Ability to manage time with minimal direction and to balance multiple projects.
• Outstanding digital literacy and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Customer focused & people oriented

Preferred qualifications

• Business to business experience preferred. Manufacturing/chemical experience a plus.
• SAP experience a plus
