Job Summary

Chartwells is adding a Accountant to our new business account at University of Wisconsin - Whitewate r. Our accounting role will partner with our on-site food service operations team to provide accounting support at this new account.

As an Accountant  with Chartwells and on-site at UW - Whitewater, this role will provide accounting and financial support for the amazing food service operations at the university. This role will combine your general ledger and reconciliation experience to provide ongoing operational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for the accurate and timely reconciliation of Compass Accounts
  • Works with various bank and armored carriers to research and resolve errors, discrepancies, etc.
  • Partners with Regional Controllers and Accountants to research and resolve ledger discrepancies
  • Books maintenance and corrective journal entries
  • Acts as liaison between Field (Operations and Accounting), bank and third party banking vendors.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
  • Two years Accounting Experience 
  • Proficient knowledge of MS Excel
  • Able to effectively communicate with all levels of associates
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a dynamic work environment
  • Detail oriented team player with initiative. 
  • Working knowledge of financial 
  • Previous Account Reconciliation software experience
