Hello! A multi-billion pharmaceuticals company is looking to add an Accounting Consultant to their team to support the monthly finance and accounting close activities associated with a new product acquisition. The team at this client is fantastic to work with and the leaders are extremely flexible, understanding people. This position offers to opportunity to partner with Director/Controller level individuals and will be highly visible with the new product initiative. Reporting to the Associate Director of Accounting Services, this position w ill play a crucial role in supporting our monthly accounting close process while focusing on maintaining schedules associated with the integration a new product. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the success of a significant organizational transition.

+ Assist in the preparation and execution of the monthly accounting close process, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines

+ Maintain detailed schedules and records related to the integration of the new product, tracking expenses, reviewing and reconciling invoices and other relevant financial data

+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information and ensure the alignment between accounting activities, FP&A, and the product integration timeline

+ Conduct thorough analysis of financial data, identifying discrepancies and proposing corrective actions as needed

+ Support the development and implementation of efficient accounting procedures and controls to streamline processes and enhance accuracy

+ Assist in the preparation of financial reports, presentations, and other documentation for internal and external stakeholders

Must-Have Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline

+ Ability to work with highly sensitive data with appropriate discretion

+ 5+ years of work experience, preferably in Accounting/Finance Consulting roles

+ Previous Pharma/Life Sciences/Biotech/Clinical Study/ CRO experience a plus

+ Very strong technical skills and ability to build and maintain Excel based financial models

+ Experience with SAP and Hyperion Essbase is a plus

+ Ability to foster strong relationships and communicate effectively
