Sullivan Brothers Builders participates in a number of enterprises including homebuilding, land development and contracting services. The Accounting Manager oversees the financial operations of the organization. The job description may include the following:

• Financial reporting: Prepare financial statements and reports in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
• Budgeting and forecasting: Develop budgets and forecasts for the organization, identify potential risks and opportunities and make recommendations for improving financial performance.
• Financial analysis: Conduct financial analyses to support business decisions and identify trends and areas for improvement in the organization's financial performance.
• Account reconciliation: Reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial transactions.
• Tax compliance: Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
• Internal controls: Design and implement internal controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information and to prevent fraud.
• Team management: Lead and manage a team of accounting professionals, oversee their work, provide guidance and training, and ensure that they meet deadlines and deliverables.
• Communication: Communicate with various stakeholders, including senior management, auditors, and other departments within the organization, to provide financial insights and reports.
• Continuous improvement: Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and automation, streamlining financial operations, and enhancing the overall financial performance of the organization.

To be successful in this role, the Accounting Manager must have a degree in accounting, along with several years of experience in homebuilding, real estate, or a related field. Strong leadership and communication skills, as well as a solid understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis techniques are also required.
