About the role

One of the Odevo companies in Florida is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist!

The Accounts Receivable Specialist undertakes a variety of financial and non-financial tasks to help guarantee proper accounting of the client's member’s account status. Primarily working in a support role in accounts receivable, review and process collection letters, process attorney payoff checks, process attorney invoices, review associations accounts receivable and aging for anomalies, main point of contact with collections attorneys, main point of contact for managers on collections questions, has excellent customer service, and understands basic GAAP accounting practices.

  • Set up collections for associations in CINC.
  • Review and process collection reminder letters.
  • Review and process intent to lien letters.
  • Process attorney payoff checks.
  • Process attorney invoices.
  • Coordinate attorney communication with the managers and Boards.
  • Review each association’s collections, checking for potential errors and ensuring the collections process is moving – if an account is stagnant, have clear documentation.
  • Cross train on AP and estoppel/resale procedures and processes.
  • Continue to improve the AR processes.
  • Any other projects as assigned by supervisor

Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalency
  • 1-3 years’ experience in administration
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills and drive to provide superior customer service to all parties.
  • Self-starter attitude and ability to prioritize, handle multiple assignments, exercise judgment, and take ownership of projects in the absence of direct supervision.
  • A team player with a strong work ethic, pro-active orientation, who can anticipate needs, is assertive and highly accountable, with a mature and positive attitude.
