Assistant Manager

The Assistant Manager is responsible for assisting the General Manager with daily store operations and creating outstanding customer experience.

• Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour

Areas of Responsibility: 

• Ensure the highest level of customer service 
• Assisting the General Manager in creating a customer-friendly environment 
• Respond promptly and professionally to customer complaints or inquiries 
• Manage shifts with prioritization based upon store needs and tasks as required 
• Ensure conditions across the store exceed company standards 
• Complies with all federal, state, and local laws and company policies and procedures 

Requirements: 

• Works various shifts including holidays and on call (as needed) 
• Manages store operations in the absence of the General Manager 
• Must be able to work opposite shift of General Manager 
• Resolves customer service-related issues and leads by example 
• Has a full understanding of inventory receiving and auditing 
• Understanding of inventory system and how to interpret sales data 
• Works with vendors and follow receiving policies 
• Completes required daily paperwork and troubleshoots any errors 
• Knowledgeable in creating and maintaining store schedules 

Basic Qualifications: 

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Management experience in retail, food, or fuel 
• Outstanding interpersonal skills 
• Excellent communication skills 
• Exceptional customer service skills 
• Natural leader, effective motivator, and communicator 

Additional Requirements: 

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds 
• Must be flexible with hours 
• Must be flexible with location 
• Must have a valid driver’s license 
• Must have transportation 
• Must be able to pass a background and drug test 
• Perform all other duties as assigned
