What You'll Do:
Monitors and evaluates the budget for various funds.
Reviews all expenditure requests for compliance with program objectives.
Collects and reports on operating information as it relates to development of budget estimates/projections.
Maintains, updates various associated documents and facilitate payments for invoices within a database to monitor fiscal year expenditures.
Collaborates with division staff to monitor contracts, and task order documents to provide vendor payments as well as feedback on vendor performance.
Approves and monitors financial expenditures daily.
Oversees all accounts payable functions.
Develops vendor performance review schedules.
Willingly and cooperatively performs tasks and duties which may not be specifically listed in the class specification or position description, but which are within the general occupational category and responsibility level typically associated with the employee's class of work.
Previous experience working in the government sector developing and preparing budgets for departments, divisions and sections.
Knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office applications.
Planning and conducting research; writing and editing management and analytical reports and budget materials and speaking before groups of public officials.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT :
The incumbent in this position is considered an "Essential" employee and may be required to report to work during natural or manmade disasters, and during special operations/activities as assigned.
