Asbury Place Maryville is currently seeking a Cook for a Full Time position working 8am-4:30pm and 10am-6:30pm, 40 hours per week.

Asbury Place Maryville proudly provides high-quality, compassionate care 44 beds of assisted living, residential living, and memory support care for residents of Blount County and surrounding areas.

What will I do as a Cook?

• Assists in simple recipes for hot and cold food preparation.
• Batch cooks items ensuring optimal food quality; i.e., scrambled eggs, french-fries, vegetables, fish, etc.
• Follows "counts" designated on production sheets as written.
• Informs Chef when a recipe or food production sheet needs to be modified and informs Chef of potential shortages.
• Instructs attendants in regard to menu offerings and/or menu changes.
• Practices standards of food sanitation, infection control, and quality assurance.

What is required in this position?

• High school diploma or GED equivalency.
• 1+ year(s) cooking experience, preferably in the health care setting.
