Cost Accounting Manager

Our client, a leading manufacturer of delicious candies on the south side of Chicago, is seeking a highly motivated Cost Accounting Manager to join their dynamic team! In this role, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and accurate costing of their candy products and will be the direct business partner for this plant location. You will be responsible for all financial activities and will make an impact on their operations. Cost Accounting Manager Responsibilities :

• Analyze and maintain cost accounting data within SAP for all manufacturing processes
• Prepare cost reports, including standard costs, variances and bill of materials (BOM) analyses
• Conduct variance investigations and implement corrective actions to optimize production costs
• Participate in the development and implementation of cost control measures
• Interface with production, purchasing, and engineering departments to gather and analyze cost data
• Assist with the annual budgeting and forecasting process
• Maintain strong internal controls and ensure adherence to accounting policies and procedures

Cost Accounting Manager Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• 2+ years of experience in a cost accounting role, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Proven experience working with SAP, particularly in the CO (Controlling) module
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
