The Opportunity
MassMutual Wealth Management serves a network of over 5,000 financial advisors across the U.S. heling their clients secure their financial futures by guiding them with sound advice and helping them to grow through wise investing. As the Field Communications Consultant , y our efforts will focus on the following:
Manage and execute key advisor and field engagement opportunities
Drive the Wealth Management internal and external communication strategy, and
Collaborate in the development of engaging curriculum and content to deliver strategic priorities to our field partners
The Team
As the needs of advisors and clients change and demand more wealth management and planning products and services, MM Wealth Management has greater needs to thoughtfully and effectively engage with our Field partners to promote new and existing capabilities, products and services, and swiftly execute key initiatives that will positively impact advisors and clients resulting in growth.
To this end, the MM Wealth Management Strategy & Planning team is focused on six core themes:
Elevating the profile of MassMutual’s wealth brand,
Highly competitive, integrated technology,
An advisor-centric culture,
Providing a comprehensive product suite and investment service offerings,
A focus on Financial Planning, and
Superior advisor practice support.
The Impact
As a Wealth Management Field Communications Consultant, you will have an opportunity to execute multiple field-facing engagement opportunities, provide a best-in-class experience for wealth advisors that support the strategic priorities and initiatives being driven in MM Wealth Management. In this role, as well as all roles within MassMutual, you will demonstrate accountability, agility, a dedication to being inclusive, having strong business acumen, and will show courage, even in the most difficult situations. Key Responsibilities Include:
Responsible for the execution of the WM communication strategy for internal team, business partners and the field, by serving as a liaison with Field Readiness and MMFA Communications.
Actively manage and execute curriculum and support content development for Field engagement opportunities (MMA, Regional Product meetings, Specialist meetings, Field committee meetings, Agency speaking engagements) and liaise with appropriate business partners for execution.
Liaise across the MM Wealth Management organization to align, develop and execute Field meeting agendas
Report on key metrics to ensure effective positioning and execution of identified meeting goals.
Proactively identify opportunities to help drive wealth management KPI’s through field engagements.
Build relationships with Firm leadership and advisor advisory committees to best understand needs.
Obtain and react to field feedback and engagement on the efficacy of meetings and communications.
Provide status reports summarizing field engagement to ensure leadership is fully informed; speak effectively and knowledgeably to all field engagement and communications underway and planned.
The Minimum Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree
5+ years' experience working in the financial services industry, directly with advisors
3+ years' relationship management experience
1+ years' experience with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
Due to the nature of this position, as a part of our background check process, candidates must be able to pass a non-registered fingerprint background check to qualify as a fingerprinted person under FINRA
The Ideal Qualifications
2+ years' experience developing narratives for strategic initiatives
2+ years' experience developing communication and engagement strategies for advisors
2+ years' project management experience
2+ years' experience partnering with senior leaders
Self-motivated person that’s comfortable working in a fast paced, dynamic environment
Strong written communication skills; proven ability to articulate progress, raise concerns, and document actions required in a clear and concise manner
A strong collaborator who consistently demonstrates a focus on and ability to work as a team
Ability to lead and thrive in a fast-paced professional environment
Fully developed negotiation and influencing skills
Ability to champion and adapt to change quickly
Strong understanding of the project management process and the ability to drive outcomes
