IV Therapy Technician III

This position is accountable to work under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist and assist in the various activities of the pharmacy department in order to provide quality patient care for the following patient age categories: neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric, depending on the clinical setting. Pharmacy technicians will function in accordance with established procedures and guidelines; the supervising pharmacist must approve deviations from this.

EDUCATION:

High School Diploma or equivalent, Required

EXPERIENCE:

All requirements for IV Admixture Technician II, plus five (5) years of Cone Health work experience including two years hospital pharmacy technician experience and full-time status.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:

REQUIRED
National CPhT certification through PTCB required upon hire and must be maintained.


Pharmacy Technicians must register with the NC Board of Pharmacy within 30 days of hire as a
Pharmacy Tech. Pharmacy students that are currently enrolled in a school of pharmacy are not
required to register with the NC Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician
