Jr. Accountant

Job Summary:

The Junior Accountant will be responsible for supporting the accounting department by performing various accounting tasks. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles and be able to handle a high volume of transactions efficiently and accurately.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the preparation and analysis of financial statements.
• Perform general ledger accounting and reconcile accounts.
• Process accounts payable and receivable transactions.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
• Prepare and post journal entries.
• Conduct bank and account reconciliations.
• Assist with payroll processing.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
• Assist with budget preparation and financial planning processes.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Support senior accountants and management with special projects as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1-2 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, SAGE, Famous, etc.) is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
