Junior Accountant II

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Junior Accountant II to join our finance team. This role involves more complex accounting tasks and requires a higher level of expertise compared to a Junior Accountant I. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and be able to support various financial operations within the company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Manage and reconcile complex accounts, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, including invoicing, payments, and collections.
• Assist with the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
• Conduct detailed financial analysis and provide insights to senior management.
• Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and file tax returns and other regulatory documents.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance financial controls.
• Mentor and provide guidance to Junior Accountant I team members.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2-4 years of accounting experience, preferably in a similar role.
• Advanced understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Extensive experience with accounting software; SAP, Famous, Or Sage is preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
