Job Title: Internal Medicine / Family practice physician.

Job location: the Department of Veterans Affairs Health Care System, St. Cloud, Minnesota.

StartDate: ASAP

Work Schedule: Monday thru Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., unless covering within Urgent Care physician will work 8:00 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.

Type of contract: 1099 Contractor.

Job Summary: The Internal Medicine / Family practice physician shall provide medical services necessary to perform onsite outpatient Primary Care and Urgent Care clinical services to eligible beneficiaries of the Department of Veterans Affairs Health Care System, St. Cloud, Minnesota.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities:

- The physician shall be technically proficient in the skills necessary to fulfill the requirements, including the ability to speak, understand, read and write English fluently.

- Patient care and procedural skills.

- Medical knowledge.

- OPIOID management.

- Practice-based learning and improvement.

- Cervical cytology monitors.

- Interpersonal and communication skills.

Qualifications:

-The physician shall have a current license to practice medicine in any State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia.

(All licenses shall be full and unrestricted licenses. physician who has current, full, and unrestricted license, but who have, or ever had, a license restricted, suspended, revoked, voluntarily revoked, voluntarily surrendered pending action or denied upon application will not be considered for the purposes of this contract.)

-The physician shall be board certified in either Internal medicine or Family practice. All continuing education courses required for maintaining certification must be always kept up to date.

-The physician shall demonstrate knowledge of growth and development, pathophysiology of disease processes, and chronic disease management.

-The physician shall provide verifiable evidence of all educational and training experiences including any gaps in educational.

-The physician shall provide to the FAR Group program manager copies of current CMEs as required or requested.

-The physician must be certified and current in Basic Life Support. FAR Group will not be held accountable to pay for re-certification if ACLS is due within the contract period.

Responsibilities:

-The physician will work within the Outpatient Primary Care Clinic or Urgent Care as needed Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. unless otherwise specified by the Director or designee of Primary and Specialty Medicine.

-The medical practice and patient care provided by physician shall be evidence based best practices that meet or exceed all standards of professional practice and performance measures applicable to St. Cloud VA Health Care System medical professionals, including, but not limited to, TJC standards and ACP current practice guidelines.
