Property Accountant

Position Overview: The Property Accountant is responsible for the accurate and timely preparation and processing of financial data in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and company policies and procedures. The role will also assist in the maintenance and development of financial systems in the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review monthly and quarterly financial statements for multiple properties.
• Prepare and review monthly cash flow statements for all properties.
• Reconcile bank statements and provide analysis of variances.
• Review and post journal entries in RealPage and GL.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting.
• Analyze financial information to ensure accurate compliance with GAAP.
• Manage the reconciliation of all Balance Sheet accounts.
• Assist with the internal and external audit process.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance or related field.
• 2+ years' experience in property accounting in the multi-family housing sector.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with RealPage is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Excellent organizational, communication and problem-solving skills.
