Purchasing Manager

Thunder Mountain Bikes in beautiful Sedona Arizona is looking for a full-time purchasing manager. To be successful in this role, you should be able to critically assess and manage product needs for our in-store and online store inventories. You will be a main player in selecting new items and new brands to bring into our collections based on your knowledge of mountain biking and by keeping up with trends in the sport. You should be confident in acting as the main point of contact for our existing accounts as well as searching out and evaluating new opportunities. 

Purchasing Manager Responsibilities:

• Main point of contact for existing brand and purchasing relationships
• Evaluate and develop new supplier opportunities
• Manage purchasing to ensure sufficient inventory levels are stocked for in-store, online, repair shop, and rental fleet needs
• Monitor spending and keep purchasing on-budget
• Create and manage new products in Lightspeed and Shopify inventory systems
• Ensure pricing and product details are accurate
• Inventory Management and Internal product transfers
• Assist brands during special events
• Assists with in-store merchandising and product placement
• Look for opportunities to increase margins and efficiencies

Our Ideal Candidate has:

• Three years of experience working in a bicycle retail environment
• In touch with current mountain bike lifestyle trends
• Extreme attention to detail
• Strong desire to learn
• Self-starter 
• Proficient with Google Suite and Microsoft Office
• Experience with Lightspeed Retail and Shopify E-Commerce platforms. We will train the right candidate.

Full-time year-round position. Salary: DOE, with monthly performance bonus. Matching 401K, PTO.

This is a hybrid role where you will be required to work both in-person and remotely from home with flexible hours. Weekend and holiday work may be required.
