This role is part of a dynamic team of 6 similar positions within our organization. As we've experienced significant growth in recent years, our support comes from 35,000 individuals providing regular financial contributions, as well as various foundations, organizations, and governmental grant-making bodies. The Grants and Contract Accountants play a pivotal role in managing financial reporting and analysis for federal and other grants, ensuring the smooth operation of our projects. Primary Duties: 1. Verify financial data in our system for accuracy and compliance. 2. Review and analyze financial performance against budgets. 3. Collaborate with Program and Development teams to understand financial trends and variances. 4. Prepare and submit financial reports for projects, manage fund receipts, and ensure compliance with grant regulations. 5. Coordinate across divisions for timely submission of reports. 6. Review critical award information within the financial system. 7. Monitor subawards and partner financial performance. 8. Assist with external audit reviews. 9. Aid in the preparation of annual budgets. 10. Perform other duties as assigned. Position Requirements: 1. Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or related field, with 2-3 years of finance and grants management experience. 2. Proficiency in extracting data from accounting systems. 3. Experience in managing financial reporting for grants and contracts. 4. Familiarity with federal and non-federal regulations is advantageous. 5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. 6. Ability to work independently and within deadlines. 7. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. 8. Excellent organizational and administrative abilities. 9. Background screening required. 10. Authorized U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
