Position Details: The Senior Account Manager is an outside sales role and will report to the Director of Sales. You will manage an account portfolio of some of the largest, most complex customers. The Sr. AM develops sales plans that position Grainger's value proposition to the assigned customers that inspire profitable sales growth with local, higher education, primary education customer base. Compensation: This position is salaried and will pay between$70,200-105,300/annually, plus variable compensation plan. The range provided is a guideline and not a guarantee of compensation. Other factors that are involved in offer decisions include, and are not limited to: a candidate's experience, qualifications, geographical area, and internal equity of the team. You Will: Understand customer goals and remain alert and responsive to changing customer needs Demonstrate knowledge of market data and access to resources to quickly respond to new developments in the customer's business Review Grainger's Value Proposition with customers, providing solutions to grow profitable sales Establish customer and market priorities to implement a strategic course of action to accomplish sales goals Develop and implement account reach strategies to include regular business reviews for customers to maximize sales Follow company sales and pricing guidelines to include all government compliance standards Document and understand impact of customer-focused activities to increase productivity and sales within assigned customers Explain goals, understand financial and total cost of ownership concepts with all levels Use sales process to uncover customer objections/concerns, and determine appropriate solutions Produce positive sales growth within specific assigned customers with an average of 10 current accounts and between $5 to $10M dollars annually You Have: 3+ years of progressive experience in an industrial/safety business A valid driver's license. Understand in sales forecasting, opportunity management and customer planning List and close an action, project, resolution or sales with customers Strong process discipline, ability to align planning goals with a pipeline development process to grow market revenue.
