Senior Accountant

About the Company and Opportunity:

• Our client is a looking to hire a Senior Accountant to assist the CFO with daily management of the Accounting function.
• Under the direction of the CFO, the Senior Accountant will have the ability to assume duties typically given to someone at a higher level.
• The CFO believes in a mentoring environment and employees excel under their leadership.

Overview of the Senior Accountant Role:

• Maintain fixed asset depreciation schedules
• Assist and ultimately handle month-end closings
• Assist with year-end and bank audits
• Prepare adjusting journal entries
• Prepare bank reconciliations.
• Identify process improvement opportunities.
• Work with company’s standard cost system
• Analyze variances

Preferred Qualifications for the Senior Accountant:

• 5+ years’ experience
• Supervisory experience a plus
• Ability to think through complex/new situations
