Eastridge Workforce Solutions is partnering with a company that accelerates the discovery of new materials for energy applications, with a focus on the development of advanced materials for rechargeable and primary batteries in its search for a Senior Accountant. This is a direct-hire opportunity with a hybrid schedule.
This position will be assisting the Controller in maintaining financial records, assisting with the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end processes, and designing and implementing internal controls.
Job description:
Assisting with the financial closing to ensure accurate compliance and reporting.
Preparation of general ledger entries and reconciliation of accounts.
Overseeing the preparation of payments.
Preparing bank reconciliations and sales tax returns.
Assisting in the design and development of policies and procedures
Work with auditors to ensure compliance
Ensure internal controls are in place.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related.
3+ years of experience
Experience in a public accounting/audit firm preferred
CPA preferred
