Seeking a Senior Accountant / Accounting Manager from the future! A person with vast accounting/finance experience while looking to own/maintain various growing DTC consumer brands. The ideal candidate will demonstrate an aggressive, “go-getter” attitude while showcasing their skills and experience on a daily basis.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Own/maintain internal brand daily, monthly, and annual accounting responsibilities including but not limited to:
• Daily merchant processing reconciliations
• Perform month-end close responsibilities (journal entries, account reconciliations, reporting and analysis, etc.)
• Assist with AR / AP activities for proper approvals, invoice capture, expense allocations, and ensuring timely payment of vendors
• Manage the expense reporting cycle and review reports for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to policy
• Participate in process improvements to streamline the close process
• Manage intercompany accounts and month-end confirmations across all entities
• Maintain fixed asset register and depreciation schedules
• Collaborate with different functional teams to continue to develop accounting processes and actively contribute to a disciplined financial statement close
• Liaise with other departments to analyze expenses
• Maintain a strong internal controls environment
• Assist with annual external audit, including preparation of audit request items and schedules.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS:

• 4+ years experience in accounting, ideally with prior demonstrated experience in AR/AP, ledger, and monthly close
• Experience with Xero accounting software including integrated software such as Shopify, Bill.com, and DEAR (Cin7)
• Advanced experience with MS Excel (VLookUps, Pivot Tables, Advanced functions)
• Extensive knowledge of US GAAP, financial and accounting metrics, and principles
• Cost account/inventory management experience
• Possess excellent judgment abilities and a high level of professional integrity
• You thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment and can work well independently or with teams
• A self-starter attitude and are willing to take initiative on completely new projects and drive them to completion successfully
