Senior Finance and Accounting Manager

Position: Senior Finance and Accounting Manager

Location: Springfield, VA (on-site)

PD Power Systems, LLC is seeking a Senior Finance and Accounting Manager to join its team of qualified, diverse professionals. The successful applicant will become part of PD Power Systems' staff based in Springfield, VA.

The candidate will have substantial previous experience with financial reporting, Government accounting, a strong technical accounting background, and the ability to collaborate both within their team as well as to external vendors and customers on accounting functions. Experience with JAMIS Prime and Wide Area Workflow is a plus. This position reports to the President and Chief Operating Officer of PD Power Systems, LLC

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Execute Accounts Receivable workflow.
• Collaborate with staff and vendors on various accounting functions.
• Filing sales and use tax and franchise tax returns.
• Filing Industrial Funding Fee (IFF) on purchases from GSA Schedules.
• Ensure accuracy of balance sheet account reconciliations in the general ledger.
• Ensure accuracy of financial statements is in accordance with GAAP and compliance to internal policies.
• Support preparation of annual Incurred Cost Submission to DCAA.
• Develop and support monthly calculation of Revenue
• Develop and support to Monthly, Quarterly and Year End Close
• Develop and support reconciliation of Project Status Reports (budget to actual)
• Develop and support Cash Flow Analysis and manage Cash Flow (AR to AP)

Experience & Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required.
• Substantial Government Accounting experience.
• Substantial experience with financial reporting and working with the general ledger.

Technical Skills:

• Strong technical accounting background.
• Proficiency with JAMIS Prime job costing accounting software a plus.
• Excel and database skills.

Personal Skills:

• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Self-starter who can work proficiently both independently and on a team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong experience in meeting deadlines with close attention to detail.
• Strong time management, organization, and multi-tasking skills.
