Job Description - Senior Physician Compensation Analyst

Job Description

The Physician Compensation Analyst (Sr. Financial Analyst) is responsible for assisting with the development, design, maintenance, coordination and implementation of reporting systems for business operations and internal management. Responsibilities include data collection, the creation of design specifications, accessing data through a variety of databases and the creation of accurate, meaningful and relevant information for diverse audiences. Information management requires maintaining integrity of data and working with other departments to acquire information. This position functions as an internal consultant to provide financial support to all departments in the Medical Network and, as such, operates with a great deal of autonomy.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES: ??? Assists with the administration and implementation of pay practices for CSMCF medical groups
??? Maintains physician compensation, FTE and contract details database
??? Assists in the interpretation of pay practices as stipulated in the physician employment agreements and medical group professional services agreements
??? As needed, responds to inquiries from administration and/or physicians related to salaries, productivity reports and compensation calculations
??? Participates in physician salary surveys
??? Analyzes physician salary survey data
??? Works with Medical Foundation HR & Payroll to ensure timely and correct implementation of salary and FTE changes
??? Responsible for the preparation and development of physician employment PL???s, health-plans PLs, ad hoc analysis and other financial reports as needed.
??? Assist with the reporting of monthly RVU, Revenue and MGMA statistics for each CSMCF affiliated group
??? Assist with the reporting of RVU vs PSA targets for each CSMCF affilicated group
??? Assist with the coordination and development of financial modeling of organizational strategic goals and initiatives.
??? Assist with the evaluation of the reliability, consistency and integrity of financial information.
??? Provides management with information from a variety of internal and external sources regarding programmatic proposals, prepares financial analyses and management level interpretation of complex data sets.
??? Works independently with management to prioritize and define information needs, translate needs into specification and promote automated access to key management financial information.
??? Works independently with management in all matters pertaining to financial analysis, program proposals and project management.
??? Performs other related duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.?? Experience:

Seven to ten (7 ??? 10) years relevant work experience in Finance or Accounting departments or equivalent combination of education and experience. Healthcare financial management experience is highly preferred. Strong supervision and prior management skills are required. Must have a broad understanding of healthcare financial reporting. Ability to manage lead and staff level personnel. Ability to provide financial data for analytical evaluation of business operations. Knowledge of PC applications including advance excel skills is required. Must be organized and able to meet ongoing as well as special time deadlines and work under pressure. Advanced Excel and Access experience is preferred. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to compose financial reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and executive directors.
