JOB SUMMARY:

This is a Senior Professional Accountant position in the General Tax Administration Program, Refunds and Revenue Accounting, Account Services Unit. The incumbent coordinates with other Revenue Accounting employees to perform accounting functions required for reconciliations, credit tracking, transfer or other necessary entries ensuring funds are properly accounted for in the State Accounts and internal tax databases.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Currently employed with the Florida Department of Revenue.
  • Two years of experience making adjustments to the account balance in the System for Unified Taxation (SUNTAX).
  • Experience communicating with customers for the purpose of resolving inquiries.

SUBSTITUTIONS:

  • College education may substitute on a year for year basis for the required experience.

PREFERENCES:

  • Experience researching, interpreting, and applying Florida tax law.
  • Experience reviewing and correcting audit or related payments in the System for Unified Taxation (SUNTAX).

SPECIAL NOTES:

  • Documentation of education requirements must be submitted. Failure to provide education requirements could result in removal from further consideration.

SALARY: The hiring salary for this position generally will not exceed $3,612.69 monthly/$43,352.28 annually.
