Senior Revenue Accountant

We are partnering with a SaaS company who is looking for a highly motivated, detail-oriented Senior Revenue Accountant to join their team! This individual will be responsible for overseeing the company's revenue accounting, financial reporting, and related processes. An expertise in technical accounting will be pivotal in maintaining compliance and driving accuracy in this role. Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries and reconciliations, particularly for revenue recognition, covering intricate transactions and accruals.
• Evaluate and decide on proper accounting treatment for revenue-related dealings, such as contracts and specialized streams.
• Collaborate with diverse teams to align revenue policies with overall business goals.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities, emphasizing revenue accounting.
• Analyze financial data for accuracy and prepare necessary schedules.
• Conduct research on technical accounting matters, ensuring compliance with ASC 606 guidelines.
• Assist internal and external auditors during reviews and audits, addressing revenue-related queries.
• Identify opportunities for process enhancements in revenue accounting and aid in their implementation.
• Stay updated on GAAP and relevant accounting standards concerning revenue recognition.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of public accounting / revenue recognition experience
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
• CPA License or MBA preferred
• Knowledgeable of ASC 606, US GAAP, SEC, and PCAOB guidance and regulations for publicly traded companies
• Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills along with the ability to multi- task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
• Accurate, organized and detail oriented with exceptional time management skills
• Ability to identify and resolve problems
• Must possess knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, with exceptional Excel skills / experience
