What you will do:

Responsibilities include assessment, identification of specific needs, and social service intervention while in the acute setting. Maintains confidentiality when interacting with patients, families, personnel and the public. Makes referrals to a wide variety of community resources such as Public Health, CPS, APS, community counseling centers and private counselors as needed. Supports University Health System mission, vision and values. Demonstrates established customer service behaviors and standards. Treats all customers with courtesy, dignity, respect and professionalism.

What we require:

• Current licensure for the state of Texas as an LMSW is required.
• Master’s degree in Social Work from a school accredited by the Council on Social Work required. One year of post-Master’s degree experience in a health care setting is preferred.

LICENSURE

• Current state licensure as an LMSW from the Texas State Board of Social Worker Examiners is required.
