Overview The Staff Accountant position is responsible for preparing and recording journal entries, account reconciliations and detailed reports. This position also assists with month end close, audits and special projects. The Staff Accountant will review expense accounts under their responsibility for accuracy and reasonableness as well as explain variances to Plan and Prior Year. Responsibilities Maintains accounting schedules in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and company policy Prepares and records journal entries Upload daily sales from POS and research exceptions Prepares and analyzes account reconciliations Variance analysis Communicates with other departments to ensure proper accounting for expenditures Assists in monthly closings Assists the accounting team with strategic projects as required The Benefits of Working Here Our benefits exemplify our commitment to ensuring employees and their families are well taken care of, safe and secure.
