Overview of the Staff Accountant role:

• Assist in performing daily general ledger accounting functions for over 40 corporate entities
• Assist the Accounting Manager with basic accounting functions and problem resolution.
• Responsible for accounts receivable for over 40 corporate entities
• Assist with lease change forms, lease administration, lease account reconciliations
• Assist in managing workflow to ensure all financial transactions are accounted for in the general ledger
• accurately and in a timely manner
• Research unusual transactions and determine proper accounting with direction from Corporate Controller, Accounting Manager and Senior Accountant.
• Support Corporate Controller, Accounting Manager and Senior Accountant by responding to inquiries from other departments in a timely manner

What are the requirements for the Staff Accountant?

• 2+ years of full cycle/general ledger accounting experience.
• Real Estate/Construction industry experience preferred
• Proficient in Excel and Yardi is a plus
• Ability to work independently with little supervision
