System engineer

Job Description

Design, install, implement, integrate, and configure improve industry 4.0-based Programmable Logic Controller (PLC)-based Plant Floor Systems (PFS) including Option Data Delivery (ODD) system, Global Production Monitoring Controls (GPMC) system, and Error Proofing Platform (EPP). Provide technical expertise on design, integration, launch of Body Shop control systems in closure systems, framing systems, upper and lower systems. Design, implement, and optimize current and new automation controls including machining equipment, robotics, conveyors, and automation controls technologies including Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Fanuc robots, Servo Drive and Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) systems, Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs), machine vision systems, Error Proofing Platform (EPP) systems, and PFS networks, using ePlan tool for hardware and TIA Portal, Studio5000, RSLogix5000, RSLinx, RSNetworx, and VisionView tools for software; Hirschmann Octopus I/II and Cisco for managed Ethernet switches; SICK laser scanners, Fortress electromechanical gate switches, and enable the Industrial Internet of Things (IoT).

Additional Job Description

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Industrial Robotics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field, and two (2) years of experience as an Engineer or related role. Must also have experience with: designing and implementing automation controls including robotics, conveyors, and automation controls technologies including Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Fanuc robots, and Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs), using Studio5000, RSLogix5000, and RSLinx tools for software; and SICK laser scanners, or related.
