WTTG/WDCA TV – Account Executive (Regular Full-Time)

FOX 5 DC / FOX 5 Plus has an amazing opportunity for an experienced OTT and TV salesperson to generate digital and broadcast advertising revenue for Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia’s top local news television station. JOB SUMMARY: You will be responsible for generating new business across digital, OTT, Livestream, and linear platforms.  Sell unique multi-screen promotional sponsorships.  Work independently and with sales management to implement strategies to develop and maintain strong client and agency relationships, consistently grow revenue, and exceed revenue goals. Develop, manage, assist and service business for the Fox local extension OTT platform (FLX). Prospect new business, present FLX capabilities in person and or via Zoom. Act as category expert. Oversee schedules throughout campaigns; work directly with clients and advertising agencies to increase revenue for the linear and digital sales platforms. Present and negotiate all aspects of the Stations and digital offerings. Deliver unique and valuable packages to new and existing clients. Meet and communicate with clients regularly to help expedite the closing process. Prepare and deliver sales presentations to clients. Process transactional business. Work with clients and station personnel to develop advertising schedules. Timely management of accounts and administrative tasks. Maintain a high level of communication with station and corporate management, sales staff, and all station personnel. Participate in sales trainings and meetings.

WHAT YOU ARE BRINGING:

• 3+ years professional experience in Business Development, Sales, and Account Management, and/or Business Development, preferably in a Video Advertising sales environment.

• Minimum 2-3 years of successful experience in the digital media industry; Digital Video Advertising and/or Digital Agency/Digital Publisher experience preferred.

• College degree preferred.

• IAB certification preferred.

• Knowledge of the local TV marketplace and how they are adapting to new OTT / FAST channels.

• Sales Hunter with strong track record of developing new business, with a record of digital success.

• Digital Media savvy.

• Skilled negotiator and motivator.

• Excellent presentation skills.

• Excellent organizational, time management, written & verbal communication skills.

• Highly proficient with computers and cloud-based communication applications. Experience with Wide Orbit preferred.

• Ability to accurately forecast revenue based on client pending and pipelines.

Must have or be willing to obtain reliable transportation and have a valid driver’s license. Local travel and entertainment, weekends, holidays and varied hours may be required.
