Job Description - Administrative Assistant

• Monday to Friday schedule, 8am - 5pm
• Opportunity to work in a welcoming and supportive environment What’s a typical day as an Administrative Assistant? You’ll be:
• Serving as the first point of contact for parishioners, guests, and callers, creating a welcoming environment
• Providing administrative services to the Dean of the Cathedral and Assistant Priest, including clerical support, scheduling, and general support
• Answering and directing calls, responding to inquiries, and handling correspondence
• Completing various administrative duties such as copying, collating documents, distributing correspondence, maintaining filing systems, and managing office supplies and equipment
• Coordinating and preparing weekly Koinonia and eblasts
• Ensuring materials for services are prepared and available for distribution
• Managing background checks and youth safety program compliance
• Maintaining secure and confidential files
• Overseeing the parish calendar and administrative requirements for milestones in the life of parishioners
• Coordinating with service providers/vendors for events and services
• Providing administrative support to Parish organizations and ministries
• Purchasing supplies and submitting expense reports This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Have at least 5 years of experience in office administration
• Are proficient in MS Office applications
• Have experience in PDF Pro and Publisher (preferred)What happens next:
