This position is critical to the College Police department to provide full-time coverage on swing shift. The individual in this position will be responsible for monitoring alarms, camera footage, directing guests, answering phone calls and radio traffic, tracking and releasing lost-and-found property, logging service call information in CAD, and locking down the campus in the event of an emergency. This person will also maintain a schedule for part-time dispatchers and help train incoming part-time employees.
35% - Screens and routes phone calls, radio traffic, and visitors; dispatches calls to College Police personnel, maintains camera visual on high-traffic areas, responds to alarms, acts as a liaison to our District Police office, provides a variety of information regarding the activities and functions of the department
35% - Schedules dispatch staff; establishes, compiles, and maintains files, logs, lists, and records, both manual and computerized
20% - Supports the office in the completion of assigned work
10% - Other duties as assigned
Associate’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution and one full-time equivalent year of clerical, administrative office support or related experience.
OR
A High School Diploma/GED and three full-time equivalent years of clerical, administrative office support or related
A. Bachelor’s Degree
B. Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher, and PowerPoint and other software programs
C. Experience routing calls and corresponding with visitors and vendors
Monday – Friday, 3pm-11pm

May be required to work evenings and weekends
May be required to sit for a prolonged period of time, viewing a computer monitor
