The administrator will work with the ASEJ Board of Directors in managing event and meeting space, tracking expenses and a budget, filling out online reports and helping develop policies and procedures. The administrator would also develop a list of contractors for various services and maintain relations with them. The position also would involve fundraising. This position would need office management experience and ability to do meticulous documentation. Core Responsibilities: Work with the ASEJ Board of Directors in creating protocols for applications for subsidized space rental Collect documentation to verify permissible expenses for reimbursement Work with the treasurer and bookkeeper in maintaining a fiscal infrastructure and providing sound financial reporting Coordinate the work of consultants for services to support member and partner organizations and events, such as interpreting and translating, graphic design, technical support in sound, lighting and equipment, promotions and marketing and logistical support. Assist in fundraising, bookkeeping, accounting and reporting, grant development and management support. Assist in providing to member and partner organizations payroll services, group benefits and liability insurance Input information into the City’s Grants Management System Qualifications: Office management experience Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Access Bilingual English and Spanish Ability to do meticulous documentation Ability to work independently, take initiative, and be self-organized and self-motivated Strong interpersonal skills for working with independent contractors Agreement with ASEJ’s mission and organizing model Preferred: Proficient in WordPress Experience volunteering and/or working with community and grassroots organizations
