Job Description - Associate Director for Administration and Finance

Job summary
The Associate Director for Administration and Finance oversees the financial and administrative operations of the University Life Space and Events Management department. They ensure compliance and integrity of business processes, including resource management and financial activity. The Associate Director also supports organizational effectiveness and supervises the financial and administrative support staff.
Job seniority: mid-to-senior level
Responsibilities
• Oversee financial and administrative operations of University Life Space and Events (ULSE) • Ensure compliance and integrity of business processes • Partner with Human Resources on hiring and on-boarding processes, payroll, and leave policies • Work with department leadership and finance team on annual budgets • Monitor budgets and provide updated projections • Support organizational effectiveness through staff professional development • Supervise financial and administrative support staff • Develop policies and oversee departmental communication
Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in related field with 3-5 years of professional experience • Master's in Organizational Development/Leadership preferred with 5-7 years of experience • Knowledge of standard accounting and office procedures required • Proficiency with standard office software required • Strong written and oral communication skills • Ability to supervise and motivate employees
