Auger Boring Operator

Job description: Auger Boring Operator gpac, a 30+ years recruitment company, is partnered with a well-respected contractor in the Trenchless Underground Utility Construction industry. This Contractor offers Horizontal Auger Boring Machine trenchless underground utility installation for sewer, water, electric, gas and oil. The company is based in PA but you can live anywhere and travel to the jobsites and come home on the weekends. I am searching for an Auger Boring Operator that can oversee a crew of 4 for trenchless underground utility installation. About the position: This is a Horizontal Auger Boring Operator position overseeing a crew of 4 and using a Horizontal Auger Boring Machine daily for underground utility installation of water, sewer, electric, gas and oil.

• This is a permanent travelling position. You are guaranteed projects year-round and will not be laid off even in the slow season. This is not a temporary position.
• The company is based in PA but you can live anywhere and travel to the job sites.
• Most of their Projects have typically been in PA and NY. They have projects coming up in VA, MD, NJ, and DE. They can last from a week to a few months.
• Will oversee 4 crew members and operate a Horizontal Auger Boring Machine daily.
• The hours are 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM M-F. Overtime is provided if you have to work past 5:00.
• Can go home on weekends. If the distance is too far to drive they will fly you home.
• A competitive salary, Per Diem, overtime, hotel expenses paid and a company vehicle are provided.

Experience required:

• Need 3+ years' experience as a Horizontal Auger Boring Machine Operator with underground utility installation of water, sewer, electric, gas and oil (You don't need experience in all these utilities just as long as you know how to operate an Auger).
• Experience boring for pipes ranging from 3/4's of an inch to 84 inches in diameter (if you don't have experience with all these sizes they will teach you).
• Understanding of the Underground Boring Industry.
• Be able to manage a crew of 4.
• Need to be able to travel to various states for a week to a few months at a time, can go home on the weekends. If the distance is too far to drive they will fly you home.
