Responsible for administering, processing, and auditing benefit enrollment forms, materials, and correspondence. Serves as a resource to employees. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with St. Luke's mission and values.
Principle Accountabilities:
- Processes benefit enrollment
- Process benefit enrollment for medical, dental, vision, supplemental life, LTD, flexible spending, and voluntary benefit programs
- Verify eligibility and appropriate documentation is provided and follow up with employee when documentation is incomplete.
- Process benefit enrollment into appropriate systems, including new elections, changes, and terminations for covered dependents.
- Communicates benefit plans to employees
- Act as liaison for employee with benefit questions or issues. Refer employee, when appropriate, to insurance company, third party administrator, or other appropriate resource.
- Processes all terminations of benefit coverage
- Process terminations into appropriate systems
- Coordinate continuation of coverage notices to employees with HR Representative
- Correspond with employees regarding benefits
- Notify employees of benefit eligibility
- Process continuation of coverage in Lawson – entry, changes, and termination
- Review continuation payments, processed by an HR team member onsite – Benefits Analyst or HR Representative
- Follow up on past due payments
- Terminate continuation of coverage in a timely manner
- Process benefit enrollment verifications / enrollments for Missouri Department of Social Services Child Support Orders
- Performs other work duties as assigned

Must exhibit customer service skills with a focus on customer satisfaction through professionalism, timeliness, and accuracy, exhibit professional and courteous verbal and written communication skills to facilitate day-to-day job responsibilities, the ability to establish and meet deadlines, the ability to maintain confidential information, and the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy with all aspects of job responsibilities.
Must have excellent computer skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
High school diploma required. Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, finance or related field preferred.
Minimum of one-year human resources or benefits experience required, preferably in healthcare.
