Are you looking for a career change? Make your career in metal at Maysteel! ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Perform entry level work as a Press Brake Operator. Work with Set-up and Operate employees to acquire skills required for promotion to skilled level by way of Pay Progression Program. Work from routings, manufacturing instruction sheets, blueprints, visual aids, or other instructions to manufacture product at required quality levels. Perform basic inspection, and progress towards statistical methods of measuring product quality. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This job has no supervisory responsibilities. QUALIFICATIONS: Entry level. Will train. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Prefer a high school diploma or the equivalency. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read. Ability to write. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to count. In some cases, ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. REASONING ABILITY Ability to identify operational problems and ask for assistance. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Generally, none required. PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and/or fingers. The employee frequently is required to walk/stand. The employee must frequently lift and/or move 25 pounds or more. WORK ENVIRONMENT While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high.
