Building Manager

The Building Manager is responsible for managing the daily routine of the department in all aspects of repair and maintenance. This position ensures the property meets regulatory standards and codes.

Position Responsibilities

• Reports directly to Director of Facilities

• Available for immediate response to any property emergency situations

• Oversees the building maintenance on a daily basis
• Prioritize/schedule needed repairs and maintenance
• Assists with security and fire prevention systems

• Prepares and implements emergency plans/systems
• Negotiating with contractors for service
• Examines completed and ongoing jobs of the property
• Participates in training/coaching of the Team Members in the Facilities Department
• Regularly inspects the property for needed improvements/upkeep
• Maintain a positive, productive relationship with contractors
• Meets with department team members regularly to ensure strong communication and visions
• Works closely with other departments to ensure property’s needs are being addressed
• Assist in the coordination of effort between the Maintenance Department and
• Ensures proper maintenance of facility machinery

  Essential Functions

• Walking/standing for long periods at a time.
• Good planning and problem solving skills
• Must be able to work various shifts/hours/days. 24hour coverage needed
• Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 75 lbs
• Exposure to casino related environmental factors, including but not limited to, secondhand smoke, excessive noise and stress related to servicing customers in a fast-paced environment

Requirements

• Six years’ prior experience in a high-volume casino or hospitality related business
• Must be able to obtain a casino license
• Must read/write the English language
• Must have and maintain valid state-issued operator driver’s license.
• Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Outlook
