IS THIS POSITION FOR YOU?

We are looking for someone to manage the business program to ensure member business policies and procedures best serve the credit union and its members. Develop and recommend new products or improvements to products and market the member business program. Ensure compliance with state and Federal business lending laws. Problem solve and recommend solutions to business owners. Monitor business accounts and loan portfolio.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Develop and market member business products and services that best serve the credit union and members.
  2. Ensure member business account and loan policies, procedures, services, products, and documentation meet federal and state regulations and guidelines and comply set forth by the National Credit Union Administration with the Senior Vice President of Lending and compliance with the Vice President of Strategic Initiatives.
  3. Formulate and maintain a member business accounts procedures manual that is up to date with all regulations and requirements. Ensure branch employees are trained and knowledgeable on business products and procedures.
  4. Prepare, implement, and supervise the budget for the member business services that is consistent with the overall long-range plan of the credit union in conjunction with the Vice President of Lending.
  5. Conduct ongoing visits and maintain relationships with members who have member business services.
  6. Analyze business plans (financials) for business owners and make recommendations for products and services. Document visits and analysis of member business accounts.
  7. Use business development and marketing skills to market products and services to business owners. Work closely with branch managers to develop relationships with business owners.
  8. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of general economic conditions, market conditions, rates and other terms or trends that may affect the Member Business Services. Provide timely feedback that allows the credit union to react competitively.
  9. Responsible for the audit of all new accounts and services, for the member identification, loan audit and member business account policies and procedures.
  10. Coordinate with Mortgage Loan Manager to process and close business real estate loans.
  11. Manage and oversee the Business Services department and staff.
  12. Performs other duties as requested.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

Education

Prefer a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, Finance, or business-related field or five years experience in business lending.

Experience

Prefer a minimum of two years supervisory experience and three years business lending.

Physical, Mental, and Visual Requirement

The responsibilities of this position require the ability to move freely from one area of the building to another. Excellent visual, audio, and manual dexterity skills are needed as the work ranges from use of a personal computer, printer, calculator, and use of the telephone. This job requires on-site visits to businesses and travel to branches.

Other

A valid Tennessee driver's license is required as use of a company car will be required.

PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

The position requires a professional appearance, leadership qualities, and good motivational and communication skills. Must have sound judgment, function as a team player, and cooperate with co-workers, members, and business associates. Strong personal, organizational, and analytical skills are also needed.
