About the Department:The primary function of Enrollment Management and Services (EMAS) is to support and enhance the total educational experience of NC State students through a commitment to quality service that is responsive to student needs. EMAS seeks to attract and enroll a highly diverse class of new and continuing students with outstanding ability and potential and, subsequently, improve student retention and graduation, which is commensurate with NC State’s goals.
Essential Job Duties:The Business Officer will support the Assistant Vice Provost for Enrollment Management and Services by monitoring and managing state appropriated, receipts, fee, and development funds. The position will also serve as a resource for questions on university guidelines, policies, and procedures as it relates to accounts payable entries; financial transaction processes and approvals in the Division Office; serving as Division level approval for funding transactions; initiating and approving temporary payroll actions; confirming funding for temporary payroll/financial transactions; and initiating and approving payments to suppliers, travel reimbursements, purchase requisitions, IDTs, and journal/budget vouchers. The Business Officer will also assist in monitoring human resources and financials compensating control and compliance reports. Job responsibilities include:

Minimum Education and Experience:Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or related business area; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. Other Required Qualifications:
