Job summary
Sea Mar Community Health Centers is hiring a full-time Child and Family Therapist The therapist will provide individual and/or family therapy, case management, crisis stabilization, and treatment planning Must have the ability to accurately diagnose mental health issues and develop treatment plans
Responsibilities
• Assist in ensuring agency compliance with laws, regulations, and contracts • Develop and implement policies and procedures as directed by the Program Director • Educate staff on mental health service referrals and psychoeducational topics • Maintain documentation of mental health services • Conduct formal and informal diagnostic assessments for patients • Communicate with collaborative partners regarding outcomes and recommendations • Provide age-appropriate care to children and families • Involve family members in the assessment and treatment planning process • Collaborate with other professionals in family-centered assessments and treatment planning • Refer patients to psychiatric and medication management services as appropriate • Provide individual and/or family counseling and crisis stabilization • Gather information for treatment plan development and make mental health service referrals • Support staff and maintain confidentiality in challenging situations • Produce minimum productivity standards of 80 encounters and 80 hours of face-to-face contact
Requirements
• Knowledge of Behavioral Health Organization, County, and MCO contracts • Ability to work effectively with diverse individuals and groups • Accurate diagnosis of mental health issues and development of treatment plans • Understanding of chemical dependency treatment • Completion of annual clinical competency test • Master's degree in psychology, counseling, or social work • WAC requirements for Mental Health Professional • Experience working with children and families
Key Skills Needed
• Ability to accurately diagnose mental health issues • Knowledge of cultures and cultural differences • Computer proficiency with Cerner and MS Office • Experience with evidence-based models and wrap-around services • Bilingual Spanish/English highly desirable
