Chrome and Android Device Engineer

Job summary
The Chrome and Android Device Engineer will be responsible for the hardware experience of CPS staff using the district's Google-driven devices. They will manage and troubleshoot Chromebooks and Android phones. This position will report to the Chrome Platform Lead Engineer.

Responsibilities
• Manage the district's Chromebooks via the Google Admin Console • Provide Level 3 (L3) support for the district's ChromeOS hardware and Android phones • Collaborate with internal and external technology curriculum and educational testing partners • Curate and manage the district's Google Play Store and related app ecosystems • Coordinate directly with OEM product and device platform support teams • Assemble and maintain technical architecture documentation • Develop and present/facilitate training to groups of staff and vendor partners • Collaborate with CPS Service Desks and support teams • Manage, maintain, support, troubleshoot, and optimize the district's MDM systems • Evaluate Chrome OS and Android hardware for compatibility within the CPS environment
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field • Minimum of seven (7) years of professional experience in technology • Experience with technical troubleshooting and repairing mobile technology • Experience in managing Google Apps and devices from Chrome and Android platforms • Experience setting up wireless networks on Chrome OS and Android • Experience developing and leading training sessions • Knowledge of device troubleshooting methods and Google App content acquisition • Knowledge of enterprise-level mobile device management applications • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
