Job Description - Civil Engineer - Construction Estimator
Receive, file and distribute bid documents including plans, specifications, RFI's, addenda, etc. Review bid documents for completeness, conflicts and questions. Comprehensive knowledge of bidding documents and ability to perform quantitative and qualitative analysis of the documents. Attend pre-bids and site walk throughs as required. Develop budgetary estimates. Contact and communicate with potential subcontractors, coordinate subcontractor bids. Develop complete estimates. Provide input on potential alternates, options and or value engineering. Develop project schedules. Participate in estimate reviews. Good leadership, verbal and writing skills. Ability to multitask and meet established deadlines. Experience you will need: Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration or equivalent combination of technical training and/or related experience. 3+ years as a Superintendent, Project Manager or similar. 7+ years estimating heavy highway and/or civil projects. 10+ years total experience Proficiency with all MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) MS Project Scheduling software. Advanced knowledge of Estimating software HCSS HeavyBid. Advanced knowledge of construction principles Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Employment Type: Full-Time Salary: $ 110,000.00 Per Year
