The Cloud Engineer will consult with WSLH‘s Office of Information Services on networking, security, reliability, performance, monitoring, operations, processes, cost management, infrastructure as code (IaC), shared responsibility models, and well architected frameworks.The Communicable Disease Division performs genomic sequencing on a variety of pathogens of public health concern. The Cloud Engineer will support genomic analysis workloads in the cloud and focus on the development and implementation of new resources to support pathogen genomic surveillance. Professional development and formal training opportunities are integrated into the Cloud Engineer‘s workload. Cloud computing and bioinformatics is evolving and growing at a rapid pace, and joining our team is an opportunity to learn new skills by working with a diverse set of technologies and data types.Work hours are 7:45 AM- 4:30 PM Monday through Friday.
