Prior experience in an Operation Manager role working for Commercial Roofing Contractor is required. The Commercial Roofing Operations Manager is responsible for providing leadership for all daily operations, project scheduling, project quality control and safety. We are of the largest commercial roofing contractors, ranked in the Top 5 Roofing Contractors in the US. Our projects range in scope from large-scale new construction to complete tear-offs, re-roofing and renovations of existing building exteriors, and on-going roof maintenance, inspection, and repairs of all major commercial roof systems.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the operations division to ensure project performance, profitability, and efficiency
- Manage superintendent(s), subcontractors, and field staff efficiently to optimize productivity and install roof systems in accordance with company standards for quality and safety.
- Manage and/or carry out every facet of operations activity, including bid inspections and project close-out.
- Oversee the creation of operational reports, including those on time and attendance, terminations, transfers, new hiring, budgetary expenses, and statistical performance data records.
- Carry out tasks pertaining to the planning, scheduling, information flow between work orders and projects, documentation, customer satisfaction, and follow-up of projects.
- Closely collaborates to monitor and accelerate the development process with the design team, consultants, project managers, and permit expeditors.
- Preserves the organization's connections with outside suppliers, contractors, and consultants.
Key Skills
- 5+ years of commercial roofing experience
- Experience in Operations and Project Management in commercial roofing.
- Read and understand blueprints, specifications and project documentation
- Understanding of commercial/industrial system design and installation code compliance and manufacturer's requirements for warranty.
- Experience with project management software, preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs (Excel Word Outlook Power Point)
- Written and verbal communication and time management abilities
- Abide by all job-site safety requirements, including PPE, and fall protection
- A valid driver's license and insurable driving record
- Travel, will be required (Anticipated 30% depending on client requirements)
