A day in the life:

  • Serve as primary point of contact for preparing the division for the state management review.

  • Review, evaluate and project manage the update of the Oregon state management plan for the division.

  • Adapt procedures and policies based on state or federal requirement changes.

  • Coordinate and prepare responses to any corrective actions or recommendations to ensure they are completed in a timely manner.

  • Oversee and assist internal and external partners to ensure data and reporting requirements are met.

  • Review relevant policies and procedures ensuring they are kept up to date with current federal regulations.

  • Collaborate and assist with determining policy and procedure manual review and revision.

  • Evaluate grant administration processes and procedures for efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Monitor compliance with rules, regulations and statutes for funding programs that strengthen technical assistance services.

  • Work is performed in a typical office environment minimum 1 day a week. Hybrid work options available.

  • Must be able to drive or be able to provide efficient and effective means of transportation as needed to perform job duties.

Minimum qualifications:

Any combination of experience and education equivalent to five (5) years of experience that typically supports the knowledge and skills for the classification;

OR

A bachelor's degree in business or public administration, behavioral or social sciences, finance, political science or any degree demonstrating the capacity for the knowledge and skills; AND two (2) years professional-level evaluative, analytical and planning work.

  • Demonstrated experience interpreting and explaining statues, rules, regulations, policies, procedures and financial records to a diverse audience.

  • Demonstrated experience using databases and/or spreadsheet software to research and perform analysis to confirm findings.

  • Preference to those who have experience using and maintaining a publication library.

  • Demonstrated experience providing technical assistance to internal and external partners.

  • Demonstrated experience identifying strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.

  • Demonstrated experience working with communities, programs and key partners in building strong working relationships.
