About the Family & Social Services Administration:
The Office of Medicaid Policy and Planning (OMPP) is a division within the Family and Social Services Administration, which receives around 13 percent of the state's budget to ensure vital health care coverage to approximately 1 in 5 Hoosiers. OMPP strives to build programs and processes that enable Hoosiers to live in fully engaged communities and reach their greatest emotional, mental and physical well-being. Salary : This position traditionally starts at an annual salary of $59,8000.00. Salary for this position may be commensurate with education and job experience.
Role Overview: This role oversees multiple state contracts for the delivery of health care services to low-income Hoosiers eligible for Indiana Medicaid provided through the Indiana Health Coverage Programs which includes the Healthy Indiana Plan (HIP), Hoosier Healthwise (HHW), Hoosier Care Connect (HCC), and Long-Term Services and Supports programs. These four programs provide a wide range of health services through a risk-based managed care delivery system established with Managed Care Entities (MCEs). You will provide oversight of the MCE operations to ensure compliance with contract requirements and performance expectations.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in public health, public administration, business, or similar plus three years of experience. A master’s degree is preferred. Some in-state travel is required for attending meetings or public speaking engagements.
As the Program Director, you will be responsible managing the delivery of a service and/or product as part of the administration of a state or agency program. In this position, you will be responsible for managing a variety of program activities with independence and frequent reporting. This individual often coordinates inter-agency and/or external resources and stakeholders to solve complex problems and meet program objectives. This individual possesses extensive knowledge of a program area and acts as a technical consultant when clarifying or interpreting policy or procedure.
